Nut Allergy Alert - Various bakery products sold in Co-op Stores contain almonds

Cherry Ripple Slices, Large Coconut Tart, Strawberry Bakewell, Sultana Squares, Jam, Lemon & Swiss Tarts on sale in Co-op stores contain almonds not disclosed on the labels
- 6 Jam, Lemon & Swiss Tarts - Best before dates 02/08/07-05/08/07 inclusive
- 5 Cherry Ripple Slices, Large Coconut Tart, Strawberry Bakewell, 4 Sultana Squares - Best before dates 26/07/07 – 29/07/07 inclusive
Gadsby’s of Southell Ltd has withdrawn from sale five different bakery products from Co-op Stores due to incorrect allergen labeling information. The above products contain almonds which are not declared on the labels of these products and are therefore unsuitable for people with a nut allergy.
Gadsby’s of Southwell Ltd has undertaken a withdrawal of the implicated batches from Co-op stores in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and notices have been dispayed in-store
NO OTHER GADSBY’S OF SOUTHWELL LTD PRODUCTS ARE KNOWN TO BE AFFECTED
Advice to consumers:
Customers with a nut allergy are advised not to eat these products. If you have purchased the product return the item together with receipt to the store for a refund or contact Gadsby’s Bakery direct.
