Milk Allergy Alert - Marks & Spencer Strawberry & Almond Crunch
Wednesday December 6th
Marks & Spencer Strawberry & Almond Crunch UPC Code 0001243
Marks & Spencer has withdrawn batches of its own brand Strawberry & Almond Crunch breakfast cereal due to a packing error resulting in incorrect labelling information. The Food Standards Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.
This product is being withdrawn because the word 'milk' has been omitted from the allergy advice box on the packet, making the product potentially unsafe for people who have a milk allergy.
The Marks & Spencer Strawberry & Almond Crunch contains whey powder, which is declared as an ingredient. But ‘milk’ has been omitted from the allergy advice box. Although such an allergy advice box is voluntary, it is strongly recommended that where used, these include all the allergens used in the food.
No other Marks & Spencer products are known to be affected
